Based in Southern California, Randy Olshen leads Boss Industries, Inc. as president, managing a corporate portfolio that includes companies such as Boss Signs, Boss Wraps, Boss Printing, and MerchGen. Initially brought on board as consultant, Randy Olshen has guided the acquisition of numerous apparel companies that have been folded into the parent organization, such as Blue Sphere, Inc., and Pacific Screen Print International.
Mr. Olshen’s achievements with the Boss family of companies include setting in place next-generation accounting and enterprise resource planning systems. He has also overseen the launch of e-commerce sites that expanded market reach. These efforts built on his experience transforming the clothing brand Lucky 13 through cost-saving and streamlining measures that included rightsizing production facilities and refashioning sales and marketing strategy.
Mr. Olshen gained early experience driving sustained growth in the nutraceutical sphere. While working with the struggling Biomune Systems subsidiary Optim Nutrition, he completely overhauled operations, divesting non-complementary technologies and expanding revenues fivefold in the process. He also oversaw the acquisition of orphan brands that supported core offerings and boosted shareholder value in ways that led to a profitable board-engineered exit.
